Drowsy

Formerly known as The Baltic, Drowsy was formed by four high school classmates in Denver, CO. After attending different colleges, they reunited and collectively relocated to Los Angeles. Upon signing with Misra, they released their first EP Archipelago in 2016 while still performing in Denver under their old moniker of The Baltic. The self-titled EP Drowsy in 2019 marked the band’s return, with a new name and a new sound, one with a heavy tilt towards shoegaze, now firmly rooted in LA.

Drowsy creates poignant, melancholic slices of noise-rock featuring soaring lo-fi breakdowns and pensive, whispery vocals. It ebbs and flows beautifully, slowly adding more dreamy textures before exploding into a stratospheric wall of distortion that unfurls in endlessly lush ways.
